How To: Check Sync Status of an Assignment/Grade

How to manually re-sync and check sync status of your assignment.

Introduction

When setting up your assignments you can get updates on the syncing of enrollments and groups, as well as manually resync the assignment yourself.

Assignment Overview

You can find the sync icon on the assignment toolbar, next to the fullscreen button.

There are task deadlines within the status dialog (read more here on deadline sync: Integrations: Synchronising Deadlines to Your LMS Calendar) to show that a deadline has been synced with the LMS.

If the sync is successful, you will be able to see a checkmark next to the sync item, as well as when the last successful sync was made for both enrollments and groups, and can choose to manually trigger a new sync.

If the sync is still ongoing, you will see a rotating wheel to show the sync is still not finished.

If the sync failed on a particular item, you will see an orange circle indicating a problem with the sync.

Grade Publication Status

In the grade table you'll see the status of the grades that are sent to the LMS, where the timestamps match what you see in the grade book (more recent attempts won't be shown if the grade hasn't changed).

When a student's grade has changed since it was last published, the column will flag them as outdated.

If you want to see the full history of published grades for a particular student, you can click on the cell to open a dialog with this information.
