New Releases

As of February 1st, 2025, we will be moving to a new Help Desk platform. This will influence the appearance of our Help Centre and chatbot, but should otherwise have little impact on our users. This is a quality of life improvement we are making to enhance our user experience and ensure we can supply the best support possible.

Improvements for all users

ISM Rubric Grading for discussions

By enabling rubrics, instructors can provide structured, criterion-based feedback and holistic grading on learners' participation in ISM activities. This will improve guidance and assessment clarity, offering a more comprehensive evaluation of learner engagement and performance across all contributions in an activity.

Improvements for teachers and LMS admins

Duplicating competency groups or rubrics within Libraries

It is now possible to duplicate and move rubrics within libraries. By using the three-dot-menu, you can duplicate the rubric or the entire competency group (set of rubrics), give it a name and select which library you would like to save it in.

Saving Rubrics to a library from within an activity

If you already have a FeedbackFruits activity with a rubric, you can now easily save it to a library that you are a member of. This makes it easy to always find the rubric, and re-use it across your FeedbackFruits activities with the click of a button.

Grade Publication Status in grading table

After the recent addition of the sync status in the app-bar, we now communicate the status of grades that are published to the LMS! In the table you'll see the status of the grades that are sent to the LMS, where the timestamps match what you see in the gradebook (more recent attempts won't be shown if the grade hasn't changed). When a student's grade has changed since it was last published, the column will flag them as outdated. If you want to see the full history of published grades for a particular student, you can click on the cell to open a dialog with this information.

You can read more about sync statuses here: How To: Check Sync Status of an Assignment/Grade

Calendar event publication status for task deadlines

To increase transparency on integrations, we've added task deadlines to the status dialog to show that a deadline has been synced with the LMS. In addition to the existing logic around the sync and the addition of the grade publication status this should provide transparency for the majority of features related to integrations.

Bug fixes

Since the recent addition of the sync status button in the app bar, for most new partners, the ones where enrollments are synced through LTI, the groups sync was not triggered automatically upon launching FBF, but only the manual group sync worked. This has now been fixed. The enrollments/memberships sync itself was not affected by this.
