Course Analytics
Course Analytics shows you how students are doing across all your FeedbackFruits courses in one place. You can see which courses are on track and which need attention without opening each activity. In this article we break down the three pillars and the three graphs that accompany each of them.
How to read the scores
You meet the same three pillars at three levels of detail:
| Where | What you see | How to access it |
|---|---|---|
| All courses page, top of the screen | One score per pillar, across all your courses | Landing page of the course analytics. You can zoom in on a pillar across all courses by clicking on it. |
| Course list | One score per pillar, per course | By clicking on a course in the course list, you can access a course filtered view of the pillars. |
| Pillar detail page | The graphs behind the score, for a single course | Within the course, click on the pillar, and you’ll see a detailed sheet per pillar for the course. |
| Student detail page | Graphs per pillar for individual students | By clicking on a student, you can see a detailed sheet, that filters down the data on the course for that student. |
Completion
The completion pillar focuses on Whether students are keeping up with and handing in the work that's been set. Below are the visualizations that make up this pillar, and how they are calculated.
Calculations
What the percentage means
The number is the share of students who have finished every activity due so far.
What counts as due
Only activities that are already open or past their deadline. Future activities are left out, so early-course work doesn't drag the number down. If you add or publish a new activity, completion recalculates against the new total.
When a student is “up to date”
A student counts as complete when they've finished all required steps in every activity due so far.Late hand-ins still count as complete, timing shows up separately under on time or late.
