Step 2: Review your own skills

When you scroll down to step 2, where you'll find a box for reviewing your own skills. If the grey box displays Awaiting review, this indicates that you still need to start or complete the review. Click Start reviewing to begin your self-assessment.

After completing your self-assessment, the grey box across your name will display a green check mark with the text Review complete.

Note: Self-assessment can also take place on a group, which means sharing your assessment of how your group collaborated rather than the individuals in the group.

Step 3: Read received feedback

Before you can begin reviewing, you need to submit your own feedback. If this hasn’t been completed yet, you’ll see the following display.

After submitting your feedback, you can begin reviewing your own work. To do this, click the View Feedback button or anywhere in the column under Received Feedback next to your name. On the right side, you can also see the number of comments you provided during the self-assessment.

Step 4: Reflect on the activity (If made available)

If your teacher has included a step for reflecting on the assignment, it will appear at step 4. Students can begin this step once they have completed step 2, Review Your Own Skills. If this has not yet been done, the step will be displayed as shown in the image below.

Fig. 9: Reflect on the activity not yet available

Below is an example of a student that completed their reflection on their activity with at the top of the step 4 section, the instructions from the teacher and at the bottom the input from the student. When the deadline has passed (if there is a deadline), the reflection cannot be edited anymore.

Grading

Finally, at the bottom of the assignment, the points of the grading are shown (see image below).

When the teacher hasn't enabled grading (yet), then the assignment won't be graded unless your teacher enables it. This grading section will then be shown as in the image below:
