How to configure LTI 1.3 for Brightspace/D2L

Before proceeding with these steps, please inform your contact person or Pilot and Partner Manager at FeedbackFruits to ensure a smooth and safe process.

FeedbackFruits can be setup in Brightspace with LTI 1.3 dynamically or manually. It is recommended to use dynamic registration.

Dynamic registration

Register the Tool

  1. Click on the settings icon, then click on Manage Extensibility

2. Select the LTI Advantage tab, click Register Tool

3. Fill out the fields

How would you like to register your tool?: Dynamic

Tool initiation registration endpoint:

Configure Deployment: Yes

4. Click Register

5. Fill out the name and email address of the contact person for this registration

6. Fill out the name of your institution. The value of this field has to be unique, so if you have multiple environments, please include the environment name.

7. Click Save

8. Select the checkbox for FeedbackFruits and click Enable

Update the Security Settings

  1. Click FeedbackFruits to edit the Registration

  2. Scroll to the bottom and click "View Deployments".

  3. Click FeedbackFruits again to edit the Deployment

  4. Scroll to the "Security Settings" section and make sure all checkboxes except "Anonymous" are enabled

5. Click Save

FeedbackFruits has now been registered in Brightspace and is ready for use!

Manual registration

Create the Registration

  1. Click on the settings icon, then click on Manage Extensibility

2. Select the LTI Advantage tab, click Register Tool

3. Fill out the fields

How would you like to register your tool?: Standard

Name: FeedbackFruits

Domain:

Redirect URL:

OpenID Connect Login URL:

Keyset URL:

Extensions: Assignment and Grade Services, Deep Linking, Names and Role Provisioning Services

Roles: Send Institution Role

4. Click Register

5. Copy or make a screenshot of the Registration Details, and send it to us

Create the Deployment

1. Click View Deployments

2. Click New Deployment

3. Fill out the fields

Tool: FeedbackFruits

Name: FeedbackFruits

Extensions: Assignment and Grade Services, Deep Linking, Names and Role Provisioning Services

Security Settings: Org Unit Information, User Information, Link Information, Classlist including users not known to this deployment

4. Select the Org Units you wish to enable this Deployment for

5. Click Create Deployment

6. Copy or make a screenshot of the Deployment Details

Create the Link

1. Click View Links

2. Click New Link

3. Fill out the fields

Name: FeedbackFruits

URL:

Type: Deep Linking Quicklink

4. Select the Org Units you wish to enable this Link for

5. Click Save and Close

Please send the Registration Details and Deployment Details to us, so we can create the deployment on our side too.
