Getting Started
When you open the Feedback Request on Skills activity, you will see a clear set of steps to follow. The activity is designed around two main actions:
Set up your feedback request - Build and share your feedback form with your reviewers.

Read received feedback - Review the feedback once your reviewers have completed their reviews.

Step 1: Read Instructions
Start by reading the instructions provided by your teacher. These will explain the purpose of the activity, which skills or competencies are being assessed, and what is expected of you. Once you have read the instructions, your progress will update automatically.
Step 2: Set Up Your Feedback Request
This is the core step of the activity. You will create a feedback request that your reviewers will use to provide their feedback.
Write Instructions for Your Reviewer
Begin by writing instructions for your reviewer. This is your chance to tell them what kind of feedback you're looking for.
Select Criteria
If your teacher has enabled criteria selection, you will see a list of available feedback criteria for example, thesis statement, body paragraphs, organization, tone, grammar, or literature review. Select the criteria you want your reviewer to give feedback on.
If your teacher has selected the criteria for you, you can still preview those to familiarize yourself with the criteria.

Step 3: Invite Reviewers
Once your feedback request is ready, you will invite reviewers by email.
Adding a Reviewer
Enter the reviewer's email address. You’ll also add a role for the person.
Assign a role such as supervisor, first reader, or industry mentor. This helps you and your reviewer understand the context of the review.
Include a personal message, write a message to your reviewer explaining what you'd like them to focus on or any additional context.
Your reviewer does not need a FeedbackFruits account or LMS access. They will receive an email with a link to complete their review. When they open the link, they will see your submission alongside the feedback criteria you selected.
Adding Multiple Reviewers
You can add multiple reviewers to a single feedback request. If a reviewer's email is recognized from your university, their details will be auto-populated. Otherwise, you can fill in the role manually.

Step 4: Read Received Feedback
Once your reviewers have completed their reviews, you can read the feedback they've provided.
Browse Received Feedback
Navigate to the Read received feedback step. You will see the feedback from each reviewer, including their ratings and comments for each criterion.
You can view feedback from all reviewers at once for a consolidated view, or filter by individual reviewer to see their specific feedback.

When reviewing your feedback, look out for indicator buttons which highlight areas that still require your attention (e.g., unread comments).
Respond to Feedback
You can reply to specific comments or upvote feedback that you found particularly helpful. When you are done reading all the received feedback, your progress will be shown as completed in your activity overview.
Good to Know
No submission needed: You do not upload a file in this activity. Your reviewers will assess your skills based on their own experience and observations.
Be specific in your instructions: Since there is no document for reviewers to reference, your written instructions are the primary way to guide their feedback. The clearer you are, the more useful the feedback will be.
Choose your criteria thoughtfully: If your teacher has enabled criteria selection, use this as an opportunity to reflect on which skills you most want to develop.
Your reviewers don't need an account: Anyone with an email address can provide feedback, even if they're not part of your course or institution.
Check back for feedback: External reviewers may take some time to complete their review. Check the activity regularly to see if new feedback has arrived.
If your teacher has set deadlines: they will be reflected on every step of the process. If the deadline has passed, you may approach your teacher to request an extension.
