How to Adjust Language Preferences?

In FeedbackFruits, you can customize your language preferences to enhance your user experience. This article will guide you through adjusting your language settings for both students and teachers and provide key information on language support in different features, including Acai, our AI assistant.

Ways to Change Your Language Preferences

There are two main ways to change your language preferences in FeedbackFruits:

1. Via User Preferences

  • Open the User Preferences dialog:
    • Mac: Press Command (⌘) + ,
    • Windows: Go to your profile or settings icon (top right) and click on Preferences.
  • You will see a list of supported languages.
  • Select your preferred language from the list.

Note: This sets the interface language for your FeedbackFruits environment.

2. Via the Three-Dot Menu in an Activity

  • Open any FeedbackFruits activity (as a student or teacher).
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the activity.
  • Select Language preferences and choose your preferred language.

Language Support in Acai

Acai can read input in multiple languages. However, it currently responds only in English, regardless of the input language. For instance, Dutch input will be understood, but Acai’s reply will still be in English. Additionally, some Acai features such as the Engagement Assistant and the Grading Assistant are fully supported only in English at this time. You can check the list of available language settings anytime via the User Preferences window.

 

FAQ

Can students view instructions or rubrics in other languages?

Yes, if they adjust their language preferences, the interface and instructions may reflect the selected language, as long as translations are available.

Is there a Help Center list of supported languages?

Not yet, but you can always check the full list via User Preferences.
