Introduction

This guide will walk you through how to use the Setup Wizard to integrate FeedbackFruits with your learning management system, Brightspace (D2L). This guide is intended for site admins and IT personnel - if you do not have the permissions to access your LMS admin environment, you will not be able to use the Wizard, so please ensure you have the appropriate permissions before starting the setup process.

It’s important that you reach out to your Partner/Pilot Manager at FeedbackFruits before using this Wizard so they can support your implementation.

Getting Started

To begin, please select your LMS from the list:

Step 1: Setup LTI Integration

Each step in the Wizard has the appropriate instructions added - please read the given instructions carefully as you proceed through the steps. 

Login to your Brightspace environment and proceed with the steps from the screenshot - open the admin panel and click manage extensibility. Click continue. 

In this step, please select your registration type and copy the endpoint by clicking on Copy Endpoint. Then, follow the registration process as outlined in the screenshot within the Brightspace environment.

Fill in the next form in your Brightspace environment following steps from the screenshot.

Enable FeedbackFruits registration in Brightspace:

Check that the registration is correctly set up by pressing the Detect deployment button.

If the registration was enabled successfully, you will see a confirmation message (shown in the below screenshot). If you don’t see this confirmation message, or run into any other issues, please contact FeedbackFruits support team via integrations@feedbackfruits.com.

Review and update your security settings for FeedbackFruits integration in Brightspace following steps from the screenshot.

Step 2: Verify LTI Integration

Once you have successfully completed the previous steps, please follow the instructions provided in screenshot below (step 2 of the overall process) and use the Detect Launch button to complete the verification process.

Step 3: Setup API Integration

Once the launch has been successfully detected, you'll be taken to the next step - you can begin setting up your API integration here. 

Login to your Brightspace environment and click register an app under OAuth 2.0 to begin registering the FeedbackFruits app. 

Use the buttons for Copy redirect URL and Copy scopes to copy the relevant fields into your Brightspace environment and register the FeedbackFruits app. 

Fill in the details requested to register OAuth application in Brightspace.

You need to fill in your Client ID and Client Secret from the Brightspace environment and click submit to proceed. 

Step 4: Verify API Integration

This step is necessary to connect your FeedbackFruits account with permissions from your Brightspace account. When you click Continue to Permission, you will be redirected to the Brightspace environment to grant these permissions.

Congratulations - at this point, your setup is successfully completed and you can start using FeedbackFruits within your Brightspace integration!
