Introduction

What are Insights? This solution is designed to empower data-driven individuals in the education sector by providing comprehensive insights into student achievement and engagement.

Within the FeedbackFruits platform, teachers and learning designers can inspect and showcase evidence in feedback and assessment with FeedbackFruits data to improve teaching quality and student experience.

Utilising learning analytics from the Insights also promotes evidence-based learning design, and support data-informed teaching interventions for students at risk. These benefits ultimately lead to an enhancement in student outcomes and retention.

Cohort Exports Introduction

Our Cohort exports feature streamlines the process of accessing and exporting student data on feedback (ratings and reviews) and engagement (discussions posts, question card answers, and any comments) for an entire program or cohort, composed by different courses with FeedbackFruits activities.

A cohort export consolidates data from various FeedbackFruits activities across courses into a single export, saving time on data management and merging. Institutions can now seamlessly integrate this raw data into their existing institutional data infrastructures for comprehensive analysis and insights.

In Action

To start using Cohort exports, teachers need to access the FeedbackFruits platform. To do so, they must have access to Spaces (read more about how to access Spaces here).

Once on the platform, teachers can navigate to the Insights section located in the right menu bar. Clicking on Insights will open the next page.

When in the Cohorts page, teachers will be able to create a new cohort by clicking on the blue plus button at the bottom right of the screen.

Right away, teachers will see a display of all the different courses they are part of in which there are FeedbackFruits activities. The can easily select the courses they would like to group together as a cohort, and then click Next.

Finally, teachers can provide a name and a description to the entire cohort or program. When done, teachers must click on Save.

When a cohort has been created, teachers can now begin exporting data. To do so, just click on Export data, and a .xlsx file will be downloaded in their devices. This file contains all the feedback & engagement data of all the existing FeedbackFruits activities in several courses, combined.

Teachers can create as many cohorts as they would like, they can find them all in the Cohorts section within Insights. This page is also accessible by navigating through the right hand menu on the platform.

• Availability: For now, this functionality is released as Feature Flag and only available upon request. Cohort exports are available for Strategic Outcome Solution and Teaching & Learning System packages.
