Setup Wizard Guide: Canvas
FeedbackFruits can be setup in Canvas with LTI 1.3 using the inherited configuration or manually. It is recommended to use the inherited configuration.
LTI 1.3 Canvas - Inherited Configuration
Activate the Developer Key
Navigate to the Admin tab and select Developer Keys
Navigate to the Inherited tab and locate the FeedbackFruits keys
Switch (only) the tool for your region to ON
Create the App
Navigate to the Settings tab in the Admin panel
Navigate to Apps.
Click View App Configurations
Click + App
Select By Client ID as the Configuration Type

Fill out the Client ID corresponding to your region:
Europe: 170000000000752
United States: 170000000000750
Canada: 170000000000800
Australia: 170000000000751
Click Submit
Click Install
On the overview of the apps, find the new tool, and click the gear icon
Click Deployment Id
Copy the Deployment ID
Please send the Deployment ID and the URL of your Canvas to us, so we can create the deployment on our side too.
LTI 1.3 Canvas - Dynamic Registration
Create the Developer Key
Navigate to the Admin tab and select Developer Keys
Click + Developer Key and select + LTI Registration

Fill out the Dynamic Registration URL with the URL corresponding with your region:
Click Continue
Fill out the name and email address of the contact person for this registration
Fill out the name of your institution. The value of this field has to be unique, so if you have multiple environments, please include the environment name.
Click Save

Verify that all 4 requested permissions are granted and that All user data is shared with the tool
Click Enable & Close
Copy the Client ID for the tool, which is displayed in the Details column
Create the App
Navigate to the Settings tab in the Admin panel
Navigate to Apps.
Click View App Configurations
Click + App
Select By Client ID as the Configuration Type
- Fill out the Client ID that you copied from the Developer Key previously
Click Submit
Click Install
On the overview of the apps, find the new tool, and click the gear icon
Click Deployment Id
Copy the Deployment ID
Please send the Deployment ID and the URL of your Canvas to us, so we can create the deployment on our side too.
LTI 1.3 Canvas - Manual Configuration
Note: Existing integrations using legacy API domains will continue functioning normally. The domains below apply only to new installations and newly configured integrations.
Create the Developer Key
Navigate to the Admin tab and select Developer Keys
Click + Developer Key and select + LTI Key
Switch the Method to Enter URL
Fill out the Key Name and Owner Email fields as you wish

Fill out the Redirect URIs with the URI corresponding with your region:

Fill out the JSON URL with the URI corresponding with your region:
- Click Save
- On the overview of the tools, switch the tool to ON
- Copy the Client ID for the tool, which is displayed in the Details column
Create the App
- Navigate to the Settings tab in the Admin panel
- Click View App Configurations
- Click + App
- Select By Client ID as the Configuration Type
Fill out the just copied Client ID
Click Submit
Click Install
On the overview of the apps, find the new tool, and click the gear icon
Click Deployment Id
Copy the Deployment ID
Please send both the Client ID and the Deployment ID, and the URL of your Canvas to us, so we can create the deployment on our side too.
