We are delighted to bring you some thrilling news! Our team has been diligently working behind the scenes, and we're thrilled to announce that a tool redesign is set to launch on September 1st 2023. This redesign journey begins with Skill Review and will eventually encompass other assignment tools like Assignment Review, Peer Review, and Group Member Evaluation. Get ready for a refreshed and enhanced experience!
Why redesign?
We on the product team are committed to continuously enhancing your experience. This redesign isn't just a change in appearance – it's a proactive step towards improving usability, efficiency, and engagement across our platform. By simplifying navigation, streamlining workflows, and incorporating valuable user feedback, we're dedicated to providing you with a more seamless and effective tool set.
Which are the key highlights?
Simplified playlist: Instead of navigating through separate sections, you will follow a seamless progression, ensuring you don't miss steps. The playlist presents tasks in a logical order, so you focus on one thing at a time.
Review comments: The current matrix-style 'Review Comments' page has numerous clickable areas. While it has served its purpose, we have recognized the need for a more streamlined and user-friendly design. Our new threaded format offers a cleaner, intuitive interface, making it easier to navigate and respond to comments.
Clear and actionable buttons: The redesign includes clear buttons for each action within the tool. Whether you are reviewing, posting, or replying, you will have accessible options for immediate action.
How will it look like?
Before: Say goodbye to the often-confusing matrix view with all reviews crammed onto a single screen. Instead, we are introducing individual review packets. This revamped structure allows you to effortlessly navigate through reviews with clarity and ease.

After: Each review packet is distinct, simplifying your assessment process and providing a more organized and user-friendly experience. To view other review packets, simply click 'Next', making your navigation smoother than ever before.

What else to expect?
Change can be concerning, but our redesigned Skill Review Tool aims to enhance your experience without disruption. Here's what to expect:
Seamless transition: The transition to the new interface is seamless. You won't experience any change, disruptions or loss to you or your students’ ongoing work.
Continuity for existing Skill Review assignments: Existing assignments will maintain their integrity. The data will remain unchanged, now presented through an improved user interface.
New Skill Review assignments: Assignments created after the launch will automatically adopt the new and improved user interface, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience right from the beginning. Your workflow remains intact, with the added benefit of the enhanced UI for new assignments.
Same quality, fresh look: While the design has been revamped, the core functionality and quality of the Skill Review Tool remains unchanged. You will still be able to provide valuable feedback and reviews just as effectively as before.
Intuitive navigation: The new design is easier to navigate. Accessing assignments, submissions, and review tools is straightforward. Comments are prominently displayed, and you can collapse them for control.
