(27-07-2020) The next release is scheduled in approximately five days. The release will contain the following:

  • Configurable Group Contribution Factor within GME
  • New feedback deadline designs
  • Support for Blackboard groupsets
  • Brightspace email notifications going to the right LMS page again
  • Discussion Assignment going out of beta
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

Configurable Group Contribution Factor within GME

Configurable Group Contribution Factor has been added to the feature flag function Group Contribution Grading. Teachers can now adjust the threshold of what the outcome of the grade will be according to the group contribution factor or group skill factor.

If the student gets above the threshold they will be awarded the full project grade: but if they get below the minimum threshold value their project grade will be zero. If the student scores within the threshold values calculations will be done as before.

New feedback deadline designs

To improve the user experience, the feedback deadline release date selection has been moved to step 3 from step 4 (step 2 for GME).

The only functional change is that teachers can now select options (including never) that will automatically fill in the feedback deadline release.

Support for Blackboard groupsets

At the creation of group assignments, teachers are now able to select groups from either ‘regular’ groups or from group sets or both. The group sets will be shown after the next group sync.

Brightspace email notifications going to the right LMS page again

Notification emails for Brightspace received by students have had ‘incomplete’ URLs that would only lead the student to the platform instead of the assignment in Brightspace. This issue has been resolved now.

Discussion Assignment going out of beta

The Discussion Assignment tool will graduate out of beta at the end of August.
