With configurable grading the teacher can add a certain value to a specific part of an exercise. In doing this, the teacher decides which elements of the exercise weigh more heavily within the total grading. The grade is automatically adjusted according to the applied percentages. The built up of these grades will also be visible in the LMS grade center/book.

To add configurable grading to your assignment, you can click the plus button at the bottom of the page and select configurable grading.

As can be seen in the example below, the grade can now be based on the different steps students take to complete the assignment and the weight per criterion can be defined. Allowing for some criteria to weigh heavier than others.
