Release notes v2.39.0

Configurable Grading within Interactive Study Material & Presentations, improved notifications, assignment exports and multiple users

Updated over a week ago

(10-07-2019) The next release is scheduled within approximately 3 days. This release will contain the following:

  • Configurable Grading within Interactive Study Material & Presentations (beta, feature flagged)

  • Improved notification experience when clicking from email to LMS

  • Assignments exports include "average received rating"

  • Multiple users per email address

  • Various smaller improvements, bug fixes and technical enhancements

Configurable Grading within Interactive Study Material & Presentations

The Configurable Grading functionality (beta, feature flagged) is now supported by Interactive Study Material & Presentations within LTI. As a teacher, you have the ability to add a grading module, both in LMS and on platform. In the previous release, Configurable Grading was also enabled for Assignment Review & Skill Review.

Within the grading functionality, you have grade facets for the following options. You are able to assess whether students viewed the file (Interactive Study Material) or attended (Presentations), if they answered the practice questions correctly, if they placed comments/discussions/questions and if they participated in all discussions from the teacher i.e. replying to the teachers questions/comments. You can weigh these components within the total grade as separate facets by assigning percentage points (pp) to them.

Whenever the teacher pleases, they can publish the grades. These will be synchronised back to the LMS, where these grades will be supported with details on the different facets and their scores.

Fig. 1: You can manually assign pp to each facet, as long as the total weighs up to 100%

Fig. 2: Here you can see a student with grading. Press the 'publish' button at the bottom-right to publish the grades

Improved notification experience when clicking from email to LMS

When you receive an email notification and you click on it, you are now redirected to the assignment in the LMS where you will be navigated to the actual notification.

Assignments exports include "average received rating"

In the csv. export within Assignments, there will be a section dedicated to showing the average received ratings per criterion per student or group, excluding their (optional) self-assessment (beta, feature flagged). Before, there was no handy way to see this. As a teacher, you now see an "average received rating" section which lists every criterion, in the same order as the assignment, with a value per student or group.

Multiple users per email address

As of now, it is possible to have multiple users on one email address. This is especially relevant when users want to use multiple environments. For example, if one email address is linked to a different user in the test- and production environment, both users will receive notification emails.

This concludes the Release notes v2.39.0.
