The edit mode
To enter the edit mode, simply click on the three dots in the top right corner (next to the focus mode button).
After entering the edit mode, you see two options in the top right corner. When you click Help with setting up, a link to our help center and a link to our support chat will be shown. Also, the instructional video about Peer Feedback will show. The option Use copy of existing offers you the possibility to copy another, previous assignment and its instructions and settings. This could save you some time when setting up your assignment.
When you've written your instructions for the students to read, you can choose wether you want to make this an individual or a group assignment.
For more information on configuring groups, click here.
In step 2 you can define the hand-in settings. You can add extra instructions and set a deadline. Under settings it is possible to choose the number of required submissions by a student. Also, you can selected which types of files you want a student to want to be able to hand in. In the example below, a student is able to hand-in everything except websites or images. Finally, you can select who is able to view the submitted work. The submitted work is either only visible to the allocated reviewer(s), or to every student after the deadline passes.
In step 3 you can add your feedback criteria. When you press add, you can either choose between a rubric or scale rating criteria.
When you see the following screen, it is possible to either choose the rubric (beta, feature flagged) or scale rating criteria. You can either manually set up a new one, or you can copy one from your previous assignments.
For more information on copying criteria, click here.
If you press scale rating criteria, you will see the following screen. You can add criteria and assign a scale rating to each one. Also, you can require students to write a minimum amount of comments. Simply tick the box. Press discard if you want to delete your criteria or done if you are ready to use them.
Since you, the teacher, give feedback to the students there is no required deadline to set.
Read and reflect on feedback
Finally in step 4, it is possible to choose if you want students to read and reflect on their feedback they have received from their peers. If you want your students to write a reflection, you need to flick the switch. For this step it is also possible to set a deadline. In the settings, it is possible to select if you want to hold the feedback until release. This means that, instead of feedback being visible immediately, all the feedback will be released at a certain moment. It is also possible to select a required length of written reflection - for example a minimum of 50 words.
