Configurable grading (beta), option to delete student comments and other improvements to existing functionality

(16-09-2018) The next release will follow in approximately 3 working days from now. This release will contain the following: 

  • Deleting student comments as a teacher

  • Allowing teachers to edit contributions from teachers that are no longer enrolled in this learning activity

  • Improvement in communication of supported filetypes

  • Performance improvements for Interactive Presentation (beta)

  • Improvements to Discussion Assignment (beta, feature flagged)

  • Configurable grading (beta, feature flagged) for Peer Review and Comprehension of Documents

  • Overall improvements and bug fixes

Deleting student contributions as a teacher
Within all tools it is now possible, in case this is needed, for a teacher to delete (feedback) comments made by students. This is done by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of the specific comment.  

Allowing teachers to edit contributions from teachers that are no longer enrolled in this learning activity
You can now edit the work of your colleagues at all times. This makes using copies of assignments and courses more user-friendly as it is easier to edit and improve the learning activities that were initially created by colleagues. This is done by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of the specific teacher-activity. 


Improvement in communication of supported filetypes
By clicking or some other file, a list is shown to you what file types we support. This accounts for all plugins that support uploading files. 


Feature flagged functionality

The following features are released as beta-functionality. They are feature flagged, meaning that they are not available yet for all users. If you are interested in helping us validating and testing these features, please contact us


Performance improvements for Interactive Presentation (beta)
Fixes for performance improvements of the tool are shipped as a result of user-tests. The upcoming period more tests are scheduled, with the expectancy to result in more fixes to follow. 


Improvements to Discussion Assignment (beta, feature flagged)
First iterations after tests are shipped: better Learning Analytics including amounts of upvotes, Overall student progress overview can be downloaded as csv file, sorting of submissions is possible. 


Configurable grading (beta, feature flagged) for Peer Review and Comprehension of Documents (first MVP is Canvas only)

This new feature makes it possible to assign weights to ratings of different criteria and send these separate grades back to Canvas, publishing them with details in SpeedGrader.
