Updated over a year ago

(Note that student autonomy feature is only available as a feature-flagged functionality upon request. Contact your institution's partner success manager for access.)

It is now possible for teachers to set up Automated Feedback activities where the students can configure criteria on their own. This can be set up by turning on the student autonomy setting. Once enabled, the option for teachers to configure criteria is disabled.

Instructions for setting up

First, create a new Automated Feedback activity within your LMS.

In the new activity, navigate to Step 3: Automated Feedback, and enable Student autonomy by clicking on the toggle. Students can now configure criteria on their own, and the option for admins to configure criteria is disabled.

To allow students to upload several files, go to Step 2: Submissions and set the number of required submissions to Minimum 1.

Then, save the assignment.

This is the end of the set up. Students can now hand in their documents and receive feedback as many times as they would like and with their own set up for feedback criteria.
