Allow teachers to enrich their course with FeedbackFruits

Before proceeding with these steps, please inform your contact person or Pilot and Partner Manager at FeedbackFruits to ensure a smooth and safe process.

Please note that the API integration has been deprecated for LTI 1.1, and can only be used with LTI 1.3. Consider setting up with LTI 1.3 instead.

Introduction

Enabling LTI is done globally in Blackboard. Once the tools are configured, they will show up in all courses. Should you wish to limit the availability of certain tools, this is possible by going to System Admin, then clicking Tools.

Configuration

Configuring the tool provider

1. Go to System Admin, click Building Blocks

2. Click LTI Tool Providers
3. Click Register Provider Domain
4. Fill out the fields
Provider Domain:

  • Europe: api.feedbackfruits.com

  • North America: us-api.feedbackfruits.com

  • Australia: au-api.feedbackfruits.com

Provider Domain Status: Approved
Default Configuration: Set globally
Tool Provider Key: As given to you
Tool Provider Secret: As given to you

Tool Provider Custom Parameters: external_user_id=@[email protected]_string@X@
Send User Data: Send user data only over SSL
User Fields to Send: Role in Course, Name, Email Address

5. Click Submit

Configuring a placement

  1. Hover over the feedbackfruits.com domain, click the arrow, click Manage Placements

2. Click Create Placement
3. Fill out the fields

Label: FeedbackFruits
Handle: feedbackfruits
Type: Content type Tools
Placement allows grading: check
Icon:

Tool Provider URL:

4. Click Submit
