Improvements for all users

New help centre & chat interface

As part of our commitment to continuously improving the experience of users with FeedbackFruits, we will be utilising a new provider for our help centre and chat interface.

This will be a visual change, but not a functional one - our article availability and support availability remains unchanged.

Our chat support will be unavailable between 5pm-7pm CET Sunday, 2nd February to facilitate this switchover, though we can still be contacted by email. From 7pm CET onwards, we will be available as usual on both chat and email through our new interface.

Clarified to students what reviewing work remains unassigned

We’ve received a lot of reports of students not finishing all the work allocated to them, particularly centred around copywriting we present in review tasks when they’re just getting started being unclear.

To clarify that students have ownership over starting the next review, we’ve updated the text here. This is only a first step in addressing this problem - we’ll continue to evaluate student behaviour to see if more changes need to be made.

Improved header and footer design when reviewing

We have redesigned the header and footer to provide clearer guidance and progress indicators. These improvements aim to minimise confusion around the state of work when a student is doing a review step, and increase clarity to students that they can and should continue to the next review step in their allocated work. This should - at least in part - contribute to a more streamlined reviewing experience.

Acai Coach: collapse to prevent distraction

We’ve introduced the ability to collapse the Acai Coaches. When students or educators prefer to not see suggestions quickly after finishing typing, they can opt to (temporarily) hide the guidance from Acai. This enhancement ensures everyone can engage deeply with their work without interruptions, while still having the option to easily access guidance when needed.

This applies to all Acai Coaches (Feedback, Discussion, Reflection).

Improvements for teachers and LMS admins

Duplicating activities and learning journeys in libraries

It is now possible to duplicate both learning activity templates and learning journey templates in libraries. This allows you to easily copy over activity templates or learning journeys to different libraries you are part of, or maybe use the same template as a springboard for a new idea.

You can find the option to duplicate using the three-dot menu of the template from within the libraries.

You can read more about libraries here: Libraries: Introduction to Libraries and Templates

Improved save as template flow

When you save a template from an activity that you’ve created in the LMS, you can now choose which library you’d like to save it in. You’ll see all the libraries that you have access to in the list.

You can read more about libraries here: Libraries: Introduction to Libraries and Templates

Acai Feedback Coach for Teachers

The Acai Feedback Coach is now available for educators! This means teachers can now benefit from the same guidance previously only available to students, enabling them to deliver targeted, impactful feedback to their students more efficiently.

Within Assignment Review & Skill Review, there is now a dedicated option to enable Acai Coach. For educators participating in Peer Review or Group Member Evaluation feedback, enabling Acai Coach for students now also means educators see it in these assignments.

Coming Up: Suggested Ratings/Reviews from Acai in Assignment Review

We are wrapping up work on Acai Suggested Ratings/Reviews within Assignment Review, and are now in an invite-only test phase for this new functionality.

With Acai Suggested Ratings/Reviews, we are making a first step in helping educators in the grading process for academic writing. Through interpreting the rubric used in the learning activity, Acai provides rubric level suggestions and draft reviews for each student submission. The teacher remains in control, and can decide to adopt suggestions, augment or discard them.

Interested in participating in testing? Reach out to your Pilot/Partner Manager or [email protected] - spots in this phase are limited.

‘Select All’ for Group Sets

Managing group sets just got easier! The new “Select All” functionality lets you toggle entire sets with a single click, saving time and improving efficiency when working with filtered groups.

Acai Engagement Assist Available in APAC

Acai Engagement Assist is now available for APAC users! Educators and students can now benefit from enhanced guidance and engagement tools tailored to their needs, ensuring a more dynamic learning experience.
